CITES Ginseng Export Permit
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild fauna and flora (CITES) permit is needed when mailing Cultivated Wisconsin Ginseng and Wild American Ginseng products to China, but you may also get a CITES export permit for carrying ginseng to China. This applies to ginseng whole roots, prongs, fibers and slices, but ginseng powder is exempted.
This CITES permit CANNOT be applied retroactively, which means we cannot apply a CITES permit for ginseng already shipped. It doesn't have a limit of ginseng products per CITES permit but shipping companies do, please check with them before ordering your permit with us.
Please be noted that it takes at least 7 business days to go through the procedures. Make sure to give us the information below when you place your order for the CITES export permit in the "Add order note" at checkout. Thank you!
1- Name and address of the consignee or the person carrying the ginseng;
2- Date of shipping or travel;
3- And the city where you ship or the US departure airport.
